Vampire Reanimation has begun. Arkane Studios release first patch for Redfall a week after failed game release

The release of the co-op shooter Redfall has been a complete failure for Arkane, Bethesda and Microsoft and a blow to Phil Spencer's reputation.

The developers have set about rescuing their game and have released the first update.

Here's What We Know

First up, Arkane Studios have addressed three critical bugs:

  • An infinite loading screen due to pausing and resuming gameplay during fast-forwarding has been fixed;
  • A system save bug, resulting from pausing and resuming gameplay, has been fixed;
  • Updated server algorithm to improve player connectivity.

The developers haven't added 60 FPS mode to the game, nor removed the need for a constant internet connection during single-player play, and there's no indication yet that these player wishes will be implemented.

The first patch takes up between 1.4GB and 4.6GB, depending on platform.

It's curious to see if the developers will be able to salvage Redfall in any way with the patches.
