Taking care of everyone: Sony has revealed details of an innovative Access controller that will enable gamers with disabilities to use the PlayStation 5 console seamlessly

Sony continues to take care of gamers with disabilities. As well as adding dozens of accessibility settings to its games, the Japanese are also working on a PS5 console controller for people with physical disabilities.

Here's What We Know

Sony has shared information about the Access controller device, which was previously known under the working name Project Leonardo.

The gadget is a circle-shaped gamepad that doesn't need to be held all the time. The Access controller's buttons and sticks are arranged in any order according to the player's needs. In addition, two different actions can be assigned to each button, minimising the player's workload.

Two Access controllers can be connected at the same time, and the DualSense gamepad can also be activated to provide gamers with maximum convenience.

In the new video, the developers have revealed that they sincerely wanted to make the gameplay easier for people with disabilities. To take into account all the nuances and wishes, Sony engineers are in constant contact with organizations and people who advise them on all necessary issues.

When We Can Expect It

Sony hasn't yet disclosed the price and release date of the Access controller, but it could be coming to market as soon as this year.
