Journalists from the Spanish publication have shared the first details on the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, codenamed Project Orion
Spanish portal Vandal has shared the first information about the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel from CD Projekt Red.
Here's What We Know
At the moment, most of the Polish company's employees are busy completing the Phantom Liberty add-on for Cyberpunk 2077. After the DLC release, the developers will pay attention to the release of patches and updates, and then will begin active work on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, code-named Project Orion, which will be a direct sequel to the game in 2020.
It is claimed that this will happen in early 2024. The creation of Project Orion will involve 350-500 people, for which CD Projekt Red will open a new division of CD Projekt Red North America, which will be based in Boston (USA), and the gamemakers will be supported by colleagues from Warsaw and Vancouver.
At the moment, a small team is already working on Project Orion.
