'Back to the roots': Assassin's Creed developers reveal parallels between Mirage and the very first game in the series
Ubisoft has published the first installment of the Assassin's Creed Mirage development diary, called A Return to the Roots.
Here's What We Know
In this episode the developers told us that they wanted to make the game as similar to the first Assassin's Creed game as possible, to repeat the atmosphere of the Middle East, to recreate the storyline, to remind the confrontation between the Assassins and Templars, even if in this time interval they are called differently.
Mirage's gameplay has also returned to its roots. Covert action once again plays a major role. Basim is not very effective in open combat, so prefers to gradually track down his targets and attack them stealthily. To do this, the developers have provided the ability to hide in crowds, move around rooftops of buildings and sit on benches to stalk your prey.
To make it more similar to the first Assassin's Creed game, the developers added an option to turn on blue-gray colour filter in Mirage.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Mirage will release on October 12 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
Ubisoft Forward Live will take place on June 12, where the developer is sure to provide a lot of new information about Assassin's Creed Mirage.
