The Persona 5 series of games has sold 9 million copies and accounted for more than half of the total sales of the entire Persona franchise

The authors of the Persona franchise have announced that sales of the Persona 5 series have exceeded 9 million copies.

This includes digital and physical copies. This statistic includes the following games of the P5 series: Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Strikers, and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight.

These sales were helped by the re-release of Persona 5 Royal for modern platforms, which was released in autumn 2022 and sold 1.7 million copies.

The Persona series of games has been around for more than 26 years, and at least 17.7 million copies have been sold since then. This means that Persona 5 alone has accounted for more than half of the total sales of the Persona series.
