The Last of Us has received 24 nominations for the Emmy Awards, the second highest result on the list after Succession
The series adaptation of The Last of Us received 24 nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards. This is just three nominations less than the favourite of this year's ceremony, another HBO show Succession, which is up for 27 awards for its fourth and final season, having previously won 13 Emmys.
Here's What We Know
Among the nominations for The Last of Us are Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series (Pedro Pascal as Joel) and Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Bella Ramsey as Ellie). The series also received nominations for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for Murray Bartlett as Frank and Nick Offerman as Bill in the successful third episode of the first season, "Long, Long Time".
The Last of Us is produced and written by Craig Mazin, who you may know from the Chernobyl series, and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, who also co-wrote and directed the game series on which the series is based.
The Emmy Awards ceremony is scheduled for 18 September 2023.
