Honor Pad 8 released outside of China: a tablet with a 12-inch screen and Snapdragon 680 chip for $313
Following Honor 70, the Chinese manufacturer introduced another new product at the global presentation - the Honor Pad 8 tablet.
What we know
The gadget has a thin metal body with a thickness of only 6.9 mm. The device is equipped with a 12-inch LCD display with 2K resolution, 350 nits brightness and TUV Rheinland certification.
An octa-core Snapdragon 680 processor paired with 6 RAM and 128 GB of ROM are the core of the tablet. The Honor Pad 8 is powered by a 7,250 mAh battery. It supports 22.5W fast charging and 5W reverse charging. The gadget also has eight DTS:X Ultra speakers, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
Out of the box, the novelty has the Android 12 operating system and the proprietary Magic UI 6.1 shell.
Price and when to expect
Honor Pad 8 will go on sale on August 27, but so far only in Malaysia. The tablet will cost $313.
