Apple has confirmed that the frequent "Allow Paste" requests in iOS 16 are a bug

After upgrading to iOS 16, some iPhone users started getting a bunch of "Allow to insert" prompts with almost every attempt to insert content. As it turns out, in this case, it's not a "feature," but a bug.

Here's What We Know

Roan Huang, a senior Apple engineer, responded to an email from a user that was originally addressed to Tim Cook. "This is completely unexpected behavior, and we'll get to the bottom of it," Huang wrote.

It seems the bug reports began appearing quite recently and Apple didn't receive them early last week. The problem mainly affects the new 14-series iPhone. The development team will begin fixing it soon.

As MacRumors states, Huang must really know something about the feature, since he is considered one of its inventors in the patent description. When working properly, the feature should ask for permission if the program is trying to retrieve any data without the user's involvement. We hope for a quick fix to the problem.
