The Last of Us will not be limited to 2 seasons. The showrunners of the series intend to depict the events of the second game in detail
We know that The Last of Us will have a sequel.
HBO is already working on a second season, but it won't be the last!
Here's What We Know
As reported by project managers Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, the season 2 of The Last of Us will not be able to contain all the events of the sequel to the game.
Druckmann stressed that when watching the sequel, viewers will get the same vivid and ambiguous emotions as when they go through the 2020 game. The game director of the original game promises to present the events that are already familiar to gamers in a new light, maintaining the context and overall meaning.
At this point, it's impossible to say anything specific about the third season, as even the second season is not yet known much.
To recap, the last episode of the first season of The Last of Us was released yesterday.
