The second season of the Gen V series is getting ready to kick off: creative writing sessions have begun
The new school year at Godolkin Faculty may be a reality. Although the renewal of the Gen V series for a new season has not yet been officially confirmed, but this does not prevent to start working on the script.
Here's What We Know
Showrunner Michele Fazekas confirmed that they are experiencing "hope" for a second season and have already gathered writers for creative discussions.
"We do not have an official season to order yet" told The Wrap portal. "We’ve gotten the writers together to talk about what’s possible. So we’re hopeful."
"The Boys" creator Eric Kripke added that Amazon Studios is closely monitoring Gen V's progress.
"We need to see how the show performs, and we need to see if people are watching it, and if Amazon’s happy", he said. "I mean, look, the fact that Amazon has paid for Michele to have a second season [writers] room is a good sign. So, you know, fingers crossed."
Series Overview
Gen V is a spin-off of "The Boys" and is about a group of college-aged superheroes who struggle with learning difficulties, their expanding powers and for a place in "The Seven" Meanwhile, the authorities at Vought have a huge conspiracy lurking beneath Godolkin University that could have serious repercussions in the future.
The project received many positive reviews for its first season and "earned" a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
