The first trailer for an upcoming military drama series called Masters of the Air from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks has been released
Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, creators of "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" present their new military drama series about World War II.
Here's What We Know
The first trailer introduces us to the Bloody Hundred, a 100-man bomber group of pilots who conduct dangerous bombing raids over Nazi Germany.
Starring Austin Butler, Barry Keoghan and Ncuti Gatwa in the lead roles.
Series Overview
The plot follows the men of the 100th Bombardment Group called the Bloody Hundred as they conduct dangerous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and struggle with the cold, lack of oxygen and sheer terror of aerial combat at 25,000 feet.
According to Apple: "Portraying the psychological and emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of Hitler’s Third Reich, is at the heart of Masters of the Air. Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all."
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Captain Marvel, Cary Joji Fukunaga of No Time to Die and True Detective, Dee Rees of Mudbound and HBO veteran Tim Van Patten are directing.
Well, judging by the producers, directors and cast, the "Masters of the Air" series is likely to be at the top of the most anticipated works of 2024. If it's even half as successful as Spielberg and Hanks' previous work as producers, we can expect it to be one of next year's best series.
When We Can Expect It
"Masters of the Air" will launch on 26 January 2024 on Apple TV.
