The end of an entire Marvel era: It looks like Tom Hiddleston is saying goodbye to Loki for good
Get ready for a broken heart! Tom Hiddleston may have just said "goodbye" to Loki.
Here's What We Know
Apparently, the second season of "Loki" is the end of Hiddleston's journey in the Marvel comic book movie universe, as the actor has hinted that his time as the God of Pranks has come to an end.
"It all comes full circle," - Hiddleston told Jimmy Fallon, adding "It's the conclusion to season 2, it's also the conclusion to seasons 1 and 2. It's also the conclusion to six films and 12 episodes and 14 years of my life. 14 years. I was 29 when I was cast, I'm 42 now. It's been a journey."
Does this sound like goodbye? Alas, it very much feels like it.
Certainly, the Season 2 finale (we'll dispense with spoilers) seems like a natural conclusion to Loki's journey in the Marvel universe, having gone from conniving villain to tragic hero.
But with the saga of the multiverse in full swing, and with all the variants of Kang the Conqueror presented in the post-credits scenes of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ready to cause chaos, Marvel's heroes may need Loki's help in keeping the multiverse from disaster.
For now, however, this remains a mystery, and it seems that Hiddleston has completed his journey in the legendary role of Loki.
