A reputable journalist has named a date for Sony's State of Play game show
Thursday saw the first significant game show of this year - Microsoft's Xbox Developer_Direct. The American company showed five interesting games and it is logical that its main competitor will not delay its own show.
We have already reported that the State of Play show is expected by the end of January, but now there is more specific, albeit unofficial, information.
Here's What We Know
Renowned journalist and analyst Roberto Serrano has fleshed out his own insider and revealed that State of Play could take place on 25 January at 2pm PT/ 11pm CET.
Sony's show is needed not only as a response to Microsoft's presentation, but also as a way to promote games that will be released soon.
The Japanese company is likely to focus on shooter Helldivers 2 (release 8 February), Final Fantasy VII: Rebrith (release 29 February) and action game Rise of the Ronin (release 22 March). Perhaps there will be a place for the anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake, about which there has been no official news for a long time.
