The Zapata company introduced a turbojet-powered flying machine.
What we know
The French company's drone is equipped with ten turbojet engines and can reach speeds of up to 250 km/h. The aircraft has a payload capacity of 200 kg. The maximum flight altitude is 3 km. At the same time during the tests the declared values were not achieved. During the test, the head of the company demonstrated takeoff, landing and rollover in the air.
The device is equipped with a seat with controls, and there are four units with two engines in each on the sides. Two more engines are located near the cockpit. According to the manufacturer, the JetRacer will continue to fly if the two turbojet engines fail.
The Zapata company is now working on two additional prototypes of the JetRacer. Buyers of the new aircraft will include both private individuals and the military. In the case of the military, the machine can be used to fly from ship to shore and back. The cost of JetRacer has not yet been specified.
