The SkyFly Axe is a two-seat, vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. It is equipped with two pairs of wings with propellers, so the device can be considered a quadcopter in some ways.
The device is equipped with eight 35 kW engines. The weight of the entire device is 428 kg, taking into account the installed battery capacity of 48 kWh. The SkyFly Axe can carry two passengers with a combined weight of up to 172 kg. The maximum takeoff weight is 600 kg. The vehicle has a cruising range of 320 km and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h in flight.
The SkyFly Axe costs $175,000. You have to pay about $23,000 extra for the parachute, and the version with extended range costs another $58,000 more. SkyFly Axe subscriptions will begin in 2024. A deposit of $1165 is required to place a pre-order.
