China will help the UAE deliver a rover to the moon to search for ice and send its jumping rover to the moon

In late fall, the United Arab Emirates plans to send its unmanned vehicle to the moon. It will be delivered by SpaceX. And the second rover will go to the Moon thanks to the help of China.

The launch of the second lunar rover is planned for 2026. A corresponding agreement has already been signed between representatives of the United Arab Emirates and China. The rover was named Rashid-2 in honor of the ruling family of Dubai. It will go to the Moon as part of the mission Chang'e-7. The drone will be engaged in search of ice in the craters.

Note that Chang'e-7 will be the second of three lunar missions that China wants to make by 2030. Their purpose is to find places for building lunar bases. The first mission, Chang'e-6, is scheduled for 2024. Chinese scientists want to get samples of rocks in the area of the south pole, which may contain a lot of ice.

In addition to the rover, China wants to send its jumping moon rover to the Moon in 2026. You can see it in the image above. The device will search for water molecules at the bottom of craters and will be able to recharge from solar panels. But in order to do so, it will have to jump on the upper slopes of the craters.
