The Japanese have come up with a strange way to fight against Sony PlayStation 5 resellers
In Japan, the Nojima Denki store chain has decided to start fighting against resellers so that Sony PlayStation 5 game consoles can get into the hands of interested gamers directly.
What we know
Now every box of PlayStation 5 will have the buyers' full name on it. Even if the reseller wants to get rid of the ink, the sellable mark will still remain.
Also when selling the console, sellers should print out the box with the controller and throw it away, and the gamepad itself should be packaged with the console. This should help users understand that they are buying Sony PlayStation 5 from a reseller.

箱に名前を書かせるとか、内袋を捣とてるとか。

It is too early to judge the effectiveness of this method. On the one hand, if you buy a console at a store at an inflated price and without any engraving on the box, it is easy to guess that the seller is a reseller. On the other hand, the stores hope that the exposure of resellers will hurt their business.
