Contract for 470 million euros: Sweden buys a large batch of Patria 6×6 armoured personnel carriers from Finland
The Swedish Ministry of Defence has decided to purchase a large batch of Patria 6×6 armoured personnel carriers from Finland.

Information was shared by the Finnish manufacturer. We are talking about a contract for 470 million euros. For this money Sweden will buy 321 armoured personnel carriers in different modifications. The machines will be used by Swedish engineering and artillery units, as well as air defence maintenance personnel. There is no information yet on when deliveries of armaments will begin.

Patria 6×6 is a six-wheeled armoured personnel carrier, which is produced by the Finnish company Patria. The armoured vehicle is primarily designed for troop transport, but it can be configured for other purposes. For example, the platform can be equipped with a swimming system, winch, reinforced armour protection and various weapon systems. The vehicle can be fitted with 25 or 30 mm direct fire machine guns and 120 mm Patria Nemo mortar turret. The Patria 6×6 is capable of travelling up to 100 km/h.
