Bayraktar tested the Kizilelma jet UAV on the runway
Bayraktar rolled its Kizilelma UAV out of the hangar for the first time.
Here's What We Know
The drone was tested at Chorlu airport. We are talking about taxiing the drone so far. In addition, Bayraktar braking and fuel systems were tested, as well as the engine of the UAV.
As for the first flight, it should take place in the coming weeks. The exact date will depend on weather conditions.
Flashback
Kizilelma (from the Turkish word for "red apple") is Bayraktar's first jet UAV. The drone is equipped with Ukrainian AI-322F and AI-25TLT engines. There will also be a modification with the Turkish TF-6000 engine. The company plans to produce the drones in Ukraine together with other strike drones: Bayraktar TB2 and Akinci.

Bayraktar Kizilelma will be able to carry a payload of 1500 kg. The maximum flight time will be 5 hours and the range will be 930 km. The maximum altitude is 12 km. The drone is being developed within the MIUS (Muharip İnsansız Uçak Sistemi) program. Modifications with engines TF-6000 and AI-322F will be supersonic, and the variant with AI-25 TLT will be able to develop speed close to supersonic.
