Samsung will follow Apple's lead with Huawei and add satellite support to Galaxy S23 smartphones
Samsung Galaxy S23 flagships will be the first smartphones of the South Korean company, which will receive support for satellite communications, as in the iPhone 14.
Here's What We Know
This is reported by the insider Ice Universe, but the company itself has not officially commented on the information so far. Earlier Huawei and Apple introduced support for satellite communications with an interval of 10 days. But if the Chinese company left this feature only for owners of the Mate 50 Pro on the territory of the Middle Kingdom, in the case of the iPhone 14 service will be available in many countries.

Apple launched emergency satellite communications in Canada and the U.S. a few days ago, and in 1-2 weeks it will be available in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany. And for two years the service will be free. The launch cost $450 million.
Note that Google has promised that support for satellite communications in Android 14 will be implemented at a system level. In this regard, we can assume that Google will also join Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and owners of future Pixel models will also be able to use satellite communications.
