Google Maps shows the Crimean bridge on the search "HIMARS"
It looks like Google decided to have a little fun with the Russian occupiers, who have been terrorized for a week now by the American multiple rocket launcher HIMARS.
What we know
After a series of successful attacks on command posts and large ammunition depots, the Russians began to fear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would decide to strike the Crimean bridge. They even had to beef up security at the site.
The Russians installed pyramidal deflectors at a distance of up to 100 meters from the automobile part of the Crimean bridge. This is supposed to protect it from laser- or radar-guided missiles. In addition, the occupants tested a smoke screen the other day.
Meanwhile, Google decided to play a joke on the Russians, although now many of them are not up to jokes. When entering the query "Химарс" (cyrillic spelling of the word "HIMARS") into Google Maps, the app sends the user to the Crimean bridge. With the queries "HIMARS" or "Хаймарс" (pronunciation of the word "HIMARS" in Cyrillic) it doesn't work. At least, in Ukraine.
