British media showed for the first time a story about the work of CAESAR artillery systems in Ukraine
In the UK Sky News continues its coverage of events in Ukraine. The channel for the first time showed how Ukrainian artillerymen use French SAU CAESAR.
What we know
In the story, a crew member of one of the SAU CAESAR delivers a message to the Russian army and says that Ukraine will soon regain its temporarily occupied territories in Donbass. The journalist notes the accuracy and mobility of the artillery piece.
The SAU, which is shown in the story, came to Ukraine from France. At the end of the video the result of CAESAR is demonstrated - a spectacular destruction of the Russian army.
CAESAR is a 155-mm artillery unit, production of which began in 2002. The barrel length is 52 caliber and the ammunition includes 18 rounds. The SAU is built on the chassis Unimog with wheel configuration of 6x6. Engine power is 410 horsepower. The truck can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.
