After the Odessa port attacks, the U.S. called for providing Ukraine with missiles with a 300-km range
Today's cynical shelling of the Odessa Commercial Seaport, which occurred almost immediately after the signing of an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, seems to have angered the entire world. A senior adviser to the U.S. Congress, Paul Massaro, spoke emotionally on the matter, leaving a large number of messages on Twitter.
The main message of the politician was the need to do everything possible to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia. In particular, he called for providing Ukraine with shells with an even greater range - up to 300 km.
"This new Russian terrorist attack on the port of Odessa, only hours after it agreed not to attack it, demands that we give Ukraine 300-kilometer missiles. It's time for long-range missiles. Ukraine needs a permanent anti-missile shield," Paul Massaro said.
He also added that Russia will never keep its promises: "The only thing Putin understands is force."
By the way, the Turkish Defense Ministry said it had had a conversation with the Russian side. And it assures that Russia has absolutely nothing to do with the attack on the port of Odessa.
Recall, we recently wrote that at a security forum in Aspen a White House representative said that Ukraine would not receive missiles with a range of 300 km for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. He explained that the United States was concerned that the war in Ukraine would not escalate into World War III.
