The HIMARS Effect - Ukraine Destroyed 50 Russian Ammunition Depots and Struck Key Bridges
The U.S. missile artillery system HIMARS has very quickly demonstrated its effectiveness in the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
What we know
The first highly mobile artillery rocket systems HIMARS arrived in Ukraine at the end of June 2022. Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said at the national TV marathon that the Armed Forces have already destroyed 50 Russian ammunition depots.
This cuts the logistics chain and also deprives the Russian army of the ability to conduct active combat operations. Also HIMARS can cover our Armed Forces with massive shelling. In addition, Ukraine has carried out precision strikes on several bridges in the temporarily occupied territories.
Mr Reznikov decided not to let the public into the details, but apparently we are talking about Kherson region. The occupation authorities immediately stated that the strike was carried out with the help of HIMARS, but Ukrainian officials have not commented in any way for obvious reasons.
