Ukrainian artillerymen will receive the most powerful tank haulers of the American army Oshkosh M1070

Public person Yury Biryukov announced the purchase of two Oshkosh M1070 tank tractors worth $300,000.

What we know

The tractors will be given to Ukrainian artillerymen for the rapid transportation of huge self-propelled artillery units. Any equipment will not be suitable for the rapid transfer of SAUs due to the huge weight of the howitzers. For example, the weight of the Polish AHS Krab is 48 tons, and the German PzH 2000 weighs 7 tons more.

The Oshkosh M1070 is the largest tractor of the U.S. Army. It was designed to transport Abrams tanks. It can be equipped with Caterpillar or Detroit Diesel engine with power of 700 or 500 hp, respectively. Maximum speed of the Oshkosh M1070 is about 90 km/h.
