The T-72M1R is a Polish upgrade of the Soviet T-72 tank. The donation of more than 200 combat vehicles became known in spring. By the way, Poland is still unable to get tanks Leopard 2A4 from Germany to replace the equipment that was sent to Ukraine.
One of the main features of the T-72M1R upgrade is the appearance of a new thermal imaging sight, which significantly increases the effectiveness of firing to the level of the Ukrainian T-72AMT. Due to the fact that Poland has handed over more than 200 combat vehicles to Ukraine, not all tanks have been upgraded. The older version is called the T-72M1. It is equipped with a TPD-K1 sight.
