What is known
This was stated at a briefing by the Deputy Secretary of Defense of the United States Colin Kahl. He does not exclude the possibility of aircraft transfer to Ukraine, but not in the nearest future, as the analysis of this question is not completed yet.
According to the official, the United States is now engaged in supplying Ukraine with the type of weapons that will be used with maximum efficiency and will be most appropriate in the current combat conditions. When asked about deliveries of F-16, Colin Kahl stressed that the U.S. is currently not focused on weapons that can be delivered to Ukraine "in a year, two, three, and so on."
