$10,000,000,000 contract: Poland buys 18 HIMARS and ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 km from the US
Poland buys additional weapons from the United States.
Here's What We Know
This was announced by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). It concerns 18 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. The contract is for $10,000,000,000. Apart from MLRSs, it will also include 45 ATACMS ballistic missiles and 1,514 GMLRS missiles of various modifications: GMLRS-AW, GMLRS-U and GMLRS-ER AW.
The contract also includes systems support equipment, military training, communications equipment and spare parts for repairs. Lockheed Martin will execute the order. A timeline for delivery of the weapon is not yet available.

HIMARS is an American multiple rocket launcher system. It is based on the US Army's FMTV five-ton wheeled chassis. The M14 can carry six rockets or one ATACMS tactical ballistic missile. The HIMARS M142 has a range of 2 to 500km.
