F-35A, Typhoon, F/A-18, F-15E, Rafale and F-16 take part in a joint NATO-Finnish exercise in Europe

The British Royal Air Force announced the participation of its Eurofighter Typhoon fighters in a joint NATO-Finnish exercise. The event took place in the Baltic region.

Here's What We Know

British and German Eurofighter Typhoons are currently based at Amari airbase in Estonia. They have flown several training sorties together with aircraft from other NATO air forces.

They were joined by four F/A-18 Hornet fighters of the Finnish Air Force, which may become a NATO member as early as 4 April. By the way, the F/A-18s took off from the Estonian airbase for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to Typhoon and Hornet, four fifth-generation F-35A Lightning II fighters of the Royal Netherlands Air Force took part in the event. Also joining them were two F-16 Fighting Falcon of the Polish Air Force, two Dassault Rafale of the French Air Force, two F-15E Strike Eagle of the US Air Force and one A400M air tanker of the German Air Force.
