Xiaomi Mi MIX ALPHA is the world's first and only smartphone equipped with a wraparound display. The screen covers almost the entire body of the device. Motorola is planning to present a similar model.

What is known

The American brand, owned by Lenovo Group, has filed a patent for a smartphone with a display that goes from the front to the ends, and then to the back. Based on the patent images, Let’s Go Digital has prepared renders of a possible novelty.

The images show a device with a hole for the front camera and one mechanical button to turn the smartphone on and off. Apparently, the touch keys will be engaged in volume control. We saw this a few years ago in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

Interestingly, the designers of Let’s Go Digital did not depict the back of the smartphone, i.e. there is nothing to say about the main camera. Of the interesting things, we note the support of the stylus and automatic screen adjustment, regardless of which side of the smartphone you take out of your pocket. Of course, nothing is known about the release date of the device.

Recall that the already mentioned Xiaomi Mi MIX ALPHA was presented in the fall of 2019. The company even announced the price - $ 2,800 - but the model never went on sale. Although Xiaomi arranged a tour of European countries for the smartphone, where everyone could look at the futuristic gadget.
