22-year-old student sold over 500 NFT selfies and became a millionaire

Indonesian student Sultan Gustav Al-Ghozali has been taking one selfie every day since 2018. In December 2021, he listed 933 NFT photos for sale on OpenSea.

What is known

The selfie shows a student with the same facial expression. The photographs differ in the background, hairstyle and clothes of the young man. Each photo was valued at $3 by Sultan Gustav Al-Ghozali, but at the peak of the popularity of non-fungible tokens, photos were sold for 0.9 Ethereum coins apiece.

In the end, the Indonesian student was able to sell over 500 selfies from a collection of 933 NFTs. The total income of the young man was 366 ETH, which is equivalent to about $1,200,000 at the current rate of cryptocurrency ($3,273).
