A major software update for Huawei Watch GT 2 has been released: what's new and when to wait for the firmware

According to our colleagues from Huawei Central, the Chinese manufacturer has released a new system update for the Huawei Watch GT 2 smartwatch.

What we know

Several useful changes have been added to the firmware. For example, the developers have installed a new way to unlock the watch with a password. The system also contains new training modes, improved Always-on display during sports, optimized health features, and support for the proprietary Petal Maps app. With it, Huawei Watch GT 2 owners can track their location directly from the watch.

When to expect

The new version of the software has already begun to be sent in waves to devices around the world. You can check for OTA availability in the Huawei Health app.
