Redmi Note 11 - Snapdragon 680, 50MP camera, NFC, 90Hz AMOLED screen and MIUI 13 starting at $175
Redmi Note 11 is the most modest of the eleventh-generation quartet of new products that debuted on the global market. It has a number of differences compared to the Chinese version of the smartphone.
What's new
Firstly, instead of the Dimensity 810 chip, a Snapdragon 680 SoC is used without 5G support. Secondly, there are no modifications with 8 GB of RAM, but they added a 4/64 GB option. Thirdly, a pair of 2-megapixel sensors appeared in the main camera. Front camera resolution reduced from 16 MP to 13 MP. We also note the appearance of a 6.43 ”AMOLED panel instead of a 6.6” IPS matrix.
The global Redmi Note 11 is also equipped with a standard 50 MP camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle one. The screen supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz and has a resolution of FHD+. The capacity of the built-in battery is still 5000 mAh. In addition, the model retained 33W fast charging, stereo sound, Mini-Jack and a side fingerprint scanner.
Not all changes are a step backwards. There are also improvements. For example, the novelty received support for Near Field Communication technology, while the Chinese Redmi Note 11 cannot boast of NFC.
Prices
The Redmi Note 11 will be available in Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue, and Star Blue. In China, the cost of a smartphone starts at $175. The global version was expected to be noticeably more expensive:
- 4/64 GB - $179 ($159 at launch)
- 4/128 GB - $199 ($179 at launch)
- 6/128 GB - $229 ($199 at launch)
The smartphone will run MIUI 13 out of the box. The Android version has not yet been specified.
