Hey Siri, how old am I? Apple voice assistant lies about the age of users

If you ask Siri how old you are, there is a good chance that Apple's voice assistant will give you the wrong number.

Why?

In most cases, Siri, looking ahead, adds an extra year to you. For example, if you check 30 year old anniversary is only in November, now the voice assistant will confidently say that you are 30, not 29 years old.

It looks like Siri doesn't correctly calculate age by taking into account only the person's year of birth, not the month or day. As evidence of this, Siri displays the correct age for everyone whose birthday has already passed this year.

This is unlikely to be a big problem, since you know your age exactly (at least we hope so). But there can be errors in calculating the age of any person in your iPhone contacts list for whom you specified a birthday.

Hopefully Apple will take notice and fix this bug.
