Rumors: Halo Infinite will get a new multiplayer mode suitable for beginners

Halo Infinite may soon be getting a new "beginner-friendly" multiplayer mode from developer Certain Affinity.

Halo Infinite's developer studio Certain Affinity is working on a new multiplayer mode for the game, reportedly codenamed "Tatanka", according to Windows Central.

Other details also revealed on the rumored new multiplayer mode suggest that it is intended to be a more "beginner-friendly" experience that is not as demanding or competitive as pre-existing multiplayer modes. Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone and Apex Legends players are mentioned among the potential audience of the new mode.

Certain Affinity is very busy these days as it was also revealed just a few days ago that the studio is potentially developing a Monster Hunter-inspired game for Xbox. According to Grubbsnax podcast host Jeff Grub, the project is codenamed "Project Suerte" and is "a game inspired by"monster hunter", implying battles of large monsters with multiplayer gameplay."

Certain Affinity, based in Texas, has been working closely with Microsoft since 2007. The studio helped develop a number of games in the Halo series, as well as parts of Call of Duty and more. That's not all she's known for, as Certain Affinity also has its own games in the form of the 2008 RTS Age of Booty and the ARPG Crimson Alliance.
