Four very old Xiaomi smartphones received Android 12, but without MIUI

Xiaomi is updating some smartphones in 2019 and 2018. up to MIUI 12.5, but their owners may not even dream of MIUI 13, not to mention the Android 12 operating system. In such cases, third-party developers come to the rescue.

Paranoid Android Sapphire custom software has appeared on the XDA Developers website. The third-party firmware is based on the Android 12 operating system and is compatible with four Xiaomi smartphones from 2018-2019.

Owners of Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s and Pocophone F1 on Snapdragon 845 can install Android 12. The first two models received MIUI 12.5 with Android 10 in China, and the third one still works on MIUI 12. Paranoid Android Sapphire build is also available for Redmi Note 7 Pro on Snapdragon 675. Officially, the smartphone has been updated to MIUI 12.5 and Android 10.
