The flagships Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro again have problems - this time with Magic Eraser in the Google Photo app
The owners of the new flagships Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are reporting another problem with their smartphones.
What's wrong?
This time, the bug is related to the Magic Eraser function in the Google Photo app. As a reminder, Magic Eraser is one of the key features of Pixel 6 devices, which uses the machine learning capabilities of the new Tensor processor. This tool allows users to remove unwanted objects or people from their photos.
But users started complaining that after updating Google Photo, they can't use the Magic Eraser feature. Attempting to launch it causes the application itself to crash.
Luckily, Google responded quickly to the complaints and released a new update to fix the issue.
“Thank you for your patience and bug reports. We're releasing a fix today, so update Google Photos to the latest version (
5.76.0.426 251772 or higher) on the Play Store,” reads the official Google account on Reddit.
