Surge C2 chip, 50 MP camera based on Sony IMX800, 4600 mAh battery, 120 W charging and under-display front module – Xiaomi MIX 5 specifications became known

For the second half of 2022, Xiaomi has scheduled the announcement of at least two flagship smartphones of the MIX series. One of them will be the regular Xiaomi MIX 5.

What is known

The main feature of the smartphone will be the camera. Like the Xiaomi MIX 4 released last summer, the next generation model will have an in-screen front camera. Its resolution will be 50 MP. The display itself will be built on the basis of an FHD + OLED matrix with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and Huaxing Optoelectronics will become the manufacturer.

Three modules will be installed in the main camera of Xiaomi MIX 5, including the main one on the new 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 sensor. The resolution of the ultra-wide-angle module and the telephoto lens will be 48 MP each. The latter will receive optical stabilization.

The smartphone is also promised a 4600 mAh battery with 120 W charging and a Surge C2 chip. Xiaomi MIX 5 should go on sale with Android 12 based on MIUI 13 right out of the box. The overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 can become the heart of the flagship.
