35% faster: iPhone 13 Pro Max almost destroyed the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in tests
This week, Samsung introduced its new flagship Galaxy S22 line, whose main competitors today are the iPhone 13 flagships. Therefore, PCMag journalists pitted these smartphones head-on in four tests to find out which of them performs better.
There is a winner
So, the gadgets were tested in four benchmarks: Geekbench 5, PCMark Work 3.0, GFXBench 5 and Basemark Web. And in most of them, the iPhone 13 Pro Max was the absolute winner.
For example, in the Geekbench 5 multi-core test, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra scored 3443 points, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max scored as much as 4647. In the single-core test, the new Samsung has 1232 versus 1735 points for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In terms of machine learning, the Apple smartphone also outperformed the competitor - 948 points versus 448. However, in testing the GPU, the iPhone 13 Pro Max scored less - 54, while the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra scored 60 points.
Based on these results, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is approximately 35% faster than the Galaxy S22 Ultra in terms of processor performance.
