Nokia G21: 90Hz screen, Unisoc T606 chip, 5050mAh battery and 50MP triple camera for €170
HMD Global, after weeks of rumors and leaks, has announced a new Nokia budget smartphone.
What is known
The device entered the market with the name Nokia G21. The novelty received a plastic case with flowers Nordic Blue and Dusk, as well as a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. When power-saving mode is enabled, the sweep frequency drops to 60 Hz.
Under the hood of the new product is a 12-nanometer Unisoc T606 processor with two Cortex-A75 cores, six Cortex-A55 cores and Mali G75-MP1 graphics. The chip is paired with 4 GB of RAM. Built-in storage in a smartphone of 64 or 128 GB. If desired, it can be expanded with a microSD memory card. As for the cameras, there are four of them in the Nokia G21: a triple main camera with 50 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP and a single front camera. The device also has a 5050 mAh battery with 18-watt charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.
The novelty comes with the Android 11 operating system. The device will receive at least two major system updates. That is, Android 12 and Android 13. By the way, Spotify and ExpressVPN applications with a 30-day trial mode are installed out of the box on the smartphone.
Price and when to expect
Nokia G21 will start selling in Europe soon. The novelty will cost 170 euros.
