Battlefield 2042 player count drops below 2k, EA and DICE say nothing about fixes
On Monday morning, the number of people playing Battlefield 2042 hit a new low of less than 2,000 players.
One common complaint about Battlefield 2042 is the design of many of the game's giant maps. Players stuck without vehicles in the game often had to travel long distances through empty areas of the game map before reaching a gunfight or one of the map's objectives.
Many Battlefield fans will remember that every new game in the franchise often comes with a lot of issues that the developers fix over time. However, the problems with BF 2042 seem to be more serious than with previous entries in the franchise. The latest game in a 20 year old franchise has managed to become one of the worst reviewed games on Steam of all time. Gamers have also supported a petition demanding a refund for BF 2042. Such a backlash has not previously been seen in the Battlefield franchise.
Battlefield 2042 was released on November 19 and is available on the Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Windows
