Insider: MediaTek will introduce a 5-nanometer Dimensity 8100 processor in March

A few months ago, information appeared on the network that MediaTek was working on the Dimensity 8000 chip (the successor to Dimension 1100). As it turned out, the novelty will enter the market with a different name.
What is known
According to Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, the manufacturer plans to name the SoC Dimensity 8100. If everything goes according to plan, it will be announced on March 1.
Recall, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 will be built on a 5-nanometer process technology. The novelty is credited with eight cores with four productive Cortex-A78 at 2.75 GHz. In addition, the chip should receive a built-in 5G modem and Mali-G510 graphics. The performance of the SoC is said to be better than the Snapdragon 870.
