Source: MediaTek is working on a 6nm G-series processor
Our colleagues from GSMArena said that MediaTek is working on a new processor for low-end devices.
What is known
The novelty will replace the current model Helio G96 and will be built on a 6-nanometer process technology. The processor is credited with two Cortex-A76 cores, which will operate at a frequency of more than 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz. The video accelerator Mali G57 MC2 should be responsible for the graphics in the new product. It will support FHD+ screens up to 120Hz.
The processor is also credited with an updated ISP module with support for a camera up to 108 MP and the ability to record 2K video at 30fps. The chip will still ship with a 4G modem. What will be called the novelty is still unknown. SoC release should take place in the third quarter.
