Rumor: Apple is working on a new HomePod with a display and support for Face ID

Information has appeared on the Internet that Apple is developing a new HomePod model.

What is known

The device is credited with a built-in screen. That is, we are talking about a smart display that will compete with Google Nest Hub Max and Amazon echo show. Apple's new product will boast a built-in camera, support for the FaceTime video calling application, as well as Face ID sensors.

Naturally, the gadget will receive the Siri voice assistant, with which you can control smart home devices. Presumably, the Apple smart display will work under the proprietary tvOS operating system.

When to expect

Unfortunately, there is no release date for the device yet. It is unlikely that the novelty will be shown at the upcoming WWDC 2022 conference.
