POCO F4 GT: gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and 120W charging for 500 euros
Xiaomi sub-brand POCO held an event in Europe where it presented its new gaming smartphone POCO F4 GT.
What is known
Rumors confirmed. The novelty has become a global version, previously released in China Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. That is, the characteristics of the device are identical. The device received OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The panel also features a 480Hz sensor readout rate and Gorilla Glass Victus tempered glass. She is supports HDR10+ and has FHD+ resolution, as well as a 20 MP front camera hole (Sony IMX596).
For work POCO F4 GT answers the top processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The chip is paired with 8/12 GB of RAM LPDDR5 and 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device was equipped with a cooling system with two evaporation chambers with a total area of 4860 mm². The device is powered by a 4700 mAh battery. It supports 120W charging. From 0 to 100%, the novelty is charged in just 17 minutes.
The device also received JBL stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, an NFC module and a new generation CyberEngine vibration motor. The main camera in the device is triple with 64 MP sensors (Sony IMX686) + 8 MP (“wide”) + 2 MP (macro). Around the camera, a backlight and an LED flash in the form of a lightning were placed, and on the sides of the device there were magnetic triggers for games.
Price and when to expect
Sales of POCO F4 GT will start in Europe on April 28th. The first customers will be able to purchase the novelty for 500 euros (8/128 GB) and 600 euros (12/256 GB). Then the smartphone will cost 600 and 700 euros respectively.
