DIY: Apple began selling parts for self-repair of the iPhone

Apple announced the launch of the Self Service Repair Program, announced last year, which allows you to repair "apple" equipment yourself, at home.

How to do it?

On the official website, you can now buy original components and tools, as well as view repair manuals. Parts and tools are the same as those used by Apple Authorized Service Providers. The price can be reduced by returning the old part to Apple.

For example, an iPhone 13 battery replacement kit costs $70.99, while this service costs $69 at a service center.

While the program works only in the US, but in the future they promise to launch it in Europe. Also, only parts for repairing the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE are still available, but Apple promises to expand the store's assortment with tools, manuals and spare parts for Mac computers by the end of the year.
