Focus will release Blacktail - a spooky fairy-tale action movie about a young Baba Yaga

Some time ago, the Polish studio The Parasight announced the adventure action Blacktail about the young Baba Yaga. Now the game has found publishing support, which makes it even better.

The main character is 16-year-old Yaga, who was accused of dark witchcraft and expelled from a medieval Slavic settlement. The girl began to be tormented by memories that came to life from her past, after which Yaga has only one way out - to track down the spirits and unravel the mysteries of their origin.

The key element of the Blacktail combat system is the bow, but Yaga also knows how to gather resources and craft potions, find lost recipes and prepare a brew that improves her abilities. The style of play can be changed with the help of powerful spells and a magic broom, and a black cat helps to track perfume.

Blacktail has a moral system: Yaga can become a valiant defender of the forest or a nightmare horror that haunts children at night. Depending on the actions of the heroine, the playing abilities and destinies of the inhabitants of the magic forest change. There are side tasks based on fairy tales, and the episodes-memories are generally designed as another game - 2.5D-platformer with a surreal appearance. The amount of the passage must last more than 15 hours.

Publish Blacktail  undertook Focus Entertainment. According to the parties, the combination of talented developers and skilled game publishers will push the boundaries of interactive storytelling.

Blacktail should be released sometime on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Text translation in Russian is claimed.
