Last year was the most successful for games on the Nintendo platform

Nintendo has published a report, which again noted the records of the Switch. This time the games were especially notable: the total sales of all projects for the financial year were the highest in the history of Nintendo.

The report covers the period from April 2021 to March 2022. Highlights:

• Switch sales for the year amounted to 23 million. Total sales for the whole time now exceed 107.65 million units.
• Compared to the previous year, Switch sales were requested by 20%. Nintendo attributes this to disruptions in the supply of semiconductors and other components.
• Switch sales are expected to reach 21 million this year.
• Sales of all games (not only from Nintendo) amounted to 235.07 million copies. This is a record year in the history of Nintendo consoles.
• During this period, 39 games have a circulation of over one million copies. Of these, 26 are Nintendo games, 13 are third-party games.

The report also provides new sales figures for the latest releases Nintendo :

• Metroid Dread  - 2.9 million.
• Kirby: The Forgotten Land  - 2.65 million.
• Mario Party Superstars  - 6.88 million.
• The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD  - 3.91 million.
• Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl  - 14.65 million.
• Pokémon Legends: Arceus  - 12.64 million.
• Mario Golf: Super Rush  - 2.35 million.
• WarioWare: Get it Together!  - 1.27 million.
• Game Builder Garage  - 1.06 million.

Sale of some evergreen exclusives Nintendo for the last year:

• Mario Kart 8 Deluxe  - 9.94 million (a total of 45.33 million).
• Animal Crossing: New Horizons  - 6.01 million (a total of 38.64 million).
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild  - 4.28 million (a total of 26.55 million).
• Pokémon Sword & Shield  - 3.18 million (a total of 24.27 million).
• Super Mario Odysse y - 2.67 million (a total of 23.5 million).
