“If not you, then who?”: the military from the blocked Azovstal in Mariupol ask Elon Musk to help with the evacuation
The commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Volynsky (“Volyn”), published in Twitter and Facebook an appeal to Elon Musk with a request to help with the evacuation of Ukrainian defenders from Azovstal in Mariupol.
“People say you came from another planet to teach people to believe in the impossible. Our planets are next to each other, since I live where it is almost impossible to survive. Help us get out of Azovstal and into an intermediary country. If not you, then who? Give me a hint,” Volyn wrote.

Our planets are next to each other, as I live where it is nearly impossible to survive.
Help us get out of Azovstal to a mediating country. If not you, then who? Give me a hint.
But he is waiting for help not only from Elon, but also from other social media users.
“I appeal to every person on the planet Earth, help make Elon see my appeal. They say that his task was to inspire humanity, to make believe in the impossible. He proved that for him there are no unsolvable problems, that everything is possible! He never gives up and neither do we! We need the support of the superman!”
There are already a lot of likes and comments under these posts in support of the Ukrainian defenders, but Elon Musk himself, unfortunately, has not yet commented on the appeal.
What's happening?
Recall that Mariupol has become one of the most "hot" spots from the very first days of the war. As best they could, the Ukrainian military stopped the enemy advance, but the lack of reinforcements and assistance played a decisive role. Now at the Azovstal plant, which is shelled daily from the air, land and sea, there are hundreds of servicemen, including the wounded.
In early May, Azovstal managed to evacuate civilians from the bomb shelters, who were hiding here from shelling. But at the same time, Russia does not agree to the evacuation of the military. It is also impossible to unblock Azovstal by military means.
Now the Ukrainian side is offering the Russians to exchange seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers from Mariupol for Russian prisoners of war. But there are no agreements yet.
