Time to expand: AMC has bought the rights to the Alan Wake franchise and will develop the series
One of Remedy's biggest dreams for the Alan Wake franchise was to take it out of the game. Now Remedy has announced that AMC has received the rights to develop the series Alan Wake.
"We've been talking about the Alan Wake TV show for a long time," says Remedy creative director Sam Lake. "Well, AMC is a great option for absolutely brilliant TV shows and they bought the rights to Alan Wake. And we are collaborating on a TV show. "
AMC is a network that has broadcast hits such as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. Given that AMC has succeeded in television adaptations of the popular comic book series, the adaptation of the video game series looks perfect, especially if Remedy is also collaborating on the project.
In 2018, Remedy said that there was talk of creating a TV series about Alan Wake, and Remedy in the past spoke of his desire to bring the hero to TV.
Remedy and AMC did not provide more details on the teleadaptation.
